Our History
Dr Ray Seidler opened Kings Cross Clinic in the mid-80s.
His practice soon grew to serve a diverse group of patients which included local residents, the elderly, police, politicians, homeless and otherwise marginalised people and the occasional celebrity.
He is perhaps best remembered for his tireless work in the field of addiction medicine, publicly advocating for policy reform and being instrumental in the opening of one of Sydney's first methadone clinics.
The clinic continues to be a beacon to our local community, continuing Dr Ray's mission.

Dr. Gavin Allison MBBS BSc(Hons) RRACGP
General Practitioner
Dr Gavin Allison has worked at the practice for over 16 years. Gavin has interests in Travel Medicine, Addiction Medicine, Men’s Health, Geriatrics and Palliative Care. Prior to joining General Practice, Gavin worked as a Psychiatry Registrar and still thoroughly enjoys this area of medicine. He has also studied Tropical Medicine in Thailand and is fluent in Thai.
